ABSTRACT
The development of lathe machine tools is closely related to the technological transformation of industrial production. This publication presents the main stages in the historical evolution of lathes, from manually operated machines through conventional mechanical solutions to modern CNC-controlled working machines. The analysis highlights the impact of technological innovations on productivity, precision, and automation, as well as the ways in which CNC technology has transformed the modern machining industry. The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the technical and industrial significance of lathe development.
