ABSTRACT
The theory and methodology of DFX techniques are not fully known and widespread among machine designers. However, I believe that they do have a place in the toolbox of design engineers.
That is why I set myself the goal of better presenting DFX techniques and their main directions to machine designers, highlighting which direction can be applied during which machine design step or phase. The article is informative, the length is not suitable for a detailed description of DFX techniques, but it is enough for a basic introduction and an overview of application possibilities.
