ABSTRACT
This paper reports on research related to an energy-based modeling process of electromagnets. It presents the development of a special-purpose measurement system designed to perform three types of measurements on solenoids. First type is force-measurement with respect to the current and position values of iron core. The second type investigates the pull-in phenomenon, while the third measurement is related to drop test. Article includes the design of mechanical elements and conception, electrical consideration and the method of data acquisition.
