ABSTRACT
Nanofluids are increasingly used in engineering practice due to their exceptional thermal properties. They are used in the automotive industry, cooling and lubricating systems, electronics, air conditioning, chemical processing and even in the solar industry as well as hydraulic transport. Understanding the behavior of nanofluids is crucial for being able to predict the design parameters and hence designing more optimal, more efficient equipment. One of the basic phenomena of rheology is a sphere settling in a fluid. In this paper, a brief review of the literature on this topic is given.
