ABSTRACT
The properties of the rail-wheel connection have changed significantly thanks to the developments in the industry. Faster and heavier vehicles and their electronic auxiliary equipment have given rise to new types of faults. Using measurements, we examined and demonstrated that the Amsler twin-disc device is suitable for testing tribological connections.
