ABSTRACT

The importance of life-span design and process optimi-zation cannot be overemphasized in the design of pres-sure vessels, equipment and systems in biogas plants. This is especially true in the early stages of design, where most depends on the expertise and experience of design-ers and manufacturers. In this paper, we present the most critical design aspects during design and the mathemati-cal models and optimization procedures that support them.
