ABSTRACT

This paper presents Emotional Pattern Generator (EmPatGen) 2.0, an advanced model that combines fuzzy logic with linguistic association to generate geometric patterns driven by emotions. The updated system introduces a new input structure—Motion, Mood and Character—and integrates an emotion-lexicon-based module capable of deriving emotional profiles from textual sources such as poems. The case study based on the Hungarian children’s poem “Nyuszi Gyuszi” demonstrates how linguistic and emotional cues can be transformed into visual compositions. EmPatGen 2.0 bridges engineering reasoning and artistic interpretation, enabling emotion-driven design processes across art, interior design, and product development.
