ABSTRACT
Throughout history, the development of humanity has been accompanied by the training of the next generation and the transmission of existing knowledge. This process has been going on for thousands of years, although there are few written methodological records. It was only from the 18th century, during the Age of Enlightenment, that thinkers working in the field of education appeared who wrote down their views based on their experience. Since then, countless educational methodologies have been born, recreating the previous procedures. One or another technique has proven to be functional for a relatively long time, enriching the existing forms with useful new methods.
However, today, our incredibly fast-changing world, the development of technology, information technology, and the advancement of AI have greatly changed the thinking and attitude of our children towards learning. Teachers must respond to this and be up-to-date in order to reach the stimulus threshold of students living in a quasi “virtual world”. The article aims to paint a picture of the current situation based on the experience of practicing teachers, presenting the problems and suggesting options for solutions.
