ABSTRACT
The detection of defects in manufactured products takes place at the first level of quality management systems. At higher levels, however, the goal of effective quality assurance is to prevent manufacturing nonconformities. In our work, we determine the characteristics of components examined with a structured light scanner, i.e., what limit values the deviations obtained can be linked to, on the basis of which it can be clearly stated whether a component complies with quality assurance requirements. The task is to determine the parameter value that needs to be set as the default in an autonomous inspection system. We recommend consciously selected point cloud fitting methods and their percentage threshold values.
