ABSTRACT
Sound surrounds us every day, whether we are in buildings or in nature, in the countryside or in the city. What is “sound” and what is “noise”? This article introduces the complex and fascinating world of sounds, the problem of noise pollution. Recognizing the sources and effects of noise pollution is the first step towards a more environmentally conscious existence.
